As a digital and print journalist, I’ve worked for several media outlets including NBC Washington, Cosmopolitan, Global Grind, Black Enterprise and more.

In addition to writing online stories pertaining to career, finance, entrepreneurship and lifestyle, I’ve also had the opportunity to interview some of today’s most prominent entertainers, politicians and business leaders including Colin Powell, T.D. Jakes, Kerry Washington, Mara Brock Akil, Kelly Rowland and more.

As the careers editor for Black Enterprise, I interviewed business mogul and entertainer Steve Harvey for the December 2015/January 2016 cover story where he spilled details on his many business ventures including his hosting duties and ownership stake in the Miss Universe pageant. I also penned cover stories for Black Enterprise’s “Leading Women in Advertising and Marketing” issue, “50 Most Powerful Women in Corporate America,” issue and the “New Faces of Wealth” issue.

Now, as an assistant managing editor at a startup company, it is my hope to continue to diversify the stories told in media while offering the advice and tools needed to help others succeed in their professional and personal life.
